The Academy Faculty Leaders
All Academy Faculty Leaders are experienced musicians with specialist qualifications. All of our leaders are Police Vetted each year.

In 2003, Bernice gained her Music Degree qualifications from the University of Canterbury. She brings a wealth of teaching, managing and directing experience to the academy. This includes large groups such as Orchestra, Jazz/Rock Bands, Choirs, and Chamber Music ensembles.
We welcome Bernice to the academy.
Iain Brandram-Adams: MMus, MusB (Hons), MusB, AMusTCL, AdvPerfCert
(Cello, Piano, Theory, Orchestras)
Iain studied cello performance and composition at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch. He has held lecturer positions in composition, music theory and orchestration. He finds teaching highly rewarding, and delights in fostering students' skills and interests on their unique musical journeys.
Aidan Stewart: BMusA
Aidan studied at Ara (formerly Christchurch Polytechnic) in Canterbury. He is an experienced drummer who has played in numerous bands covering a wide range of genre. In addition to this he is continually keeping up to date with Drumsense, Trinity resources and is familiar with Music programmes such as Logic Pro X and Sibelius.
