Welcome to the North Canterbury Academy of Music, providers of an affordable, innovative out-of-schools music programme since 1983.
Based in Rangiora, North Canterbury, we are a non-profit community organisation with a roll of over 130 students, serving areas as far-flung as Oxford, Waipara, Amberley and Kaiapoi.
The Academy’s primary aim is to make high quality music education accessible to school-age students, providing them with a full range of learning and performance opportunities. We also provide tuition to adults.
We offer the following:
- Instrumental and singing tuition (in small classes)
- Orchestras, Ensembles and Groups
- High quality specialist tutors
- Hardship assistance on application
- Private lessons
- Theory and examination preparation
